Earlier this year in February a £1 million winning Millionaire Raffle lottery ticket was purchased from a shop in Leeds, with the ticket-holder yet to come forward to claim their prize. The Millionaire Raffle guarantees to create two new millionaires each week.
The owner of the winning ticket has until August 23rd to come forward to claim the prize, after which the prize will go toward funding various National Lottery projects across the UK.
National Lottery Senior Winners' Advisors put out a statement; “Time is fast running out for the winner of this prize, but we are still hopeful that someone will come forward at the very last minute to claim the money."
If unclaimed the prize money will fund grants, over which 4,000 have already been claimed in Leeds this year alone, that help projects associated with sports, arts and culture, health and other community projects.
