"I stopped right here where it says win $7 million, I took my glasses off, I'm looking at it and I scratched the rest of them off just to make sure and I was pretty shocked to say the least," explains Joe. "I had surgery so I didn't jump up and down, but in my mind I was jumping up and down."

It's not the first time Joe's dad has given lottery tickets as gifts, but it is the first time one has paid out so massively. After taxes, Joe's lump sum payment will be in the region of $4.6 million - an amount that still has his family shocked. "I still don't know what to say. I'm still dumbfounded by this whole thing," says Jodi, Joe's wife.

Kathleen, Joe's mother, has a different take on the situation. "He asked me what did I do to deserve this and I said cause he's a good person. Joseph struggled and put himself through school and made me a very proud momma", she says.

When asked about what he plans to do with the best get well gift ever, Joe knows exactly where his windfall is going. "My life, I don't expect it to change a whole lot", he says. "I'm still going to go to work every day, my wife's gonna go to work and we're going to invest the money and enjoy life." Whether he and Jodi choose to enjoy life with a second honeymoon remains to be seen, but one thing's for sure - Joe's feeling a whole lot better these days!
