When a woman from Cambridgeshire pranked her husband claiming to have won the lottery, the last thing she expected was to actually hit the jackpot.
Just a week after pranking her husband claiming to have won £250,000, Charlotte Peart found herself making the call to her husband to tell him they were actual winners this time. And big prize winners at that, the couple had, in fact, bagged a £1 million jackpot!
But her husband, Daniel Peart, was a little skeptical and did not believe his wife when she called to let him know that they had won. "I didn't believe her at all because we like to wind each other up," said Daniel.
It was only after she forwarded the winning message to him that he realised they were millionaires. The couple are parents to three children, and they plan on using their winnings to move into a bigger house. They have also treated their kids to a new Nintendo Switch and other gadgets.
"With a family of five it gets a little cramped, a little tight. All the kids have earned their own bedrooms, they're all excited about that and we're looking forward to the next adventure in our lives," Daniel told Sky News.
