Aussie Jackpot Winner Upgrades Plans For 2021

A lucky lotto winner from Queensland, Australia says that she will have to change her plans for 2021 after bagging a $1.5 million jackpot prize.

The winner, who has chosen to stay anonymous, said she bought her ticket from a Gladstone convenience store on the day of the draw. She watched the live draw on TV later that night along with her family.

“My family called out the numbers and I started circling the numbers on my ticket. Then another. Then another. Then I had all six!

After matching six lucky numbers she had won herself one of 19 Division One prizes each valued at a little over $1.5 million. The other winners where from across Australia in Sydney, Queensland, New South Wales and Tasmania.

“It’s completely life-changing for us!” the woman exclaimed when an official from The Australian Lottery confirmed her win. “We’ll certainly share with our family. It will make a lot of people happy.”

And one of the most amazing facts about her win? She says that she only plays a few lottery tickets every year, and had only started playing the lottery a few years ago.

In the past year there have been more than 200 Division One winners in Australia, these winnings have totalled over $400 million in combined prizes.
