A single ticket sold in the New Jersey region has bagged one of this year's biggest Powerball jackpots; an incredible $315 million was won in the draw last week.
After rolling over a few times; the past Powerball jackpot reached an incredible $315 million which was finally won by a single by one ticket purchased in New Jersey. Lottery officials have revealed that the ticket was sold at a grocery store in Bergen County.
The ticket matched all five white balls and the Powerball number to win the jackpot, which the winner can opt to take in a single lump sum or smaller payments spread out over thirty years.
If the winner chooses a single payment they will be able to collect $183 million after tax.
The winner still needs to come forward to claim their prize, so the winner's identity remains a mystery. Along with the big jackpot, five other tickets sold around the US each won $1 million after matching all five main numbers.
