The Hunt Is On For R167 Million Powerball Winner

Someone's Valentine's Day had a lot more than just flowers and roses this year after a single ticket holder won R167 million jackpot.

According to National Lottery operator Ithuba, the draw which took place last on February 11, R167 million has been won by a single person person who bought the ticket in Ballito, Kwazulu Natal. The person spent R150 on a quick-pick

ticket.

“This is the second highest jackpot for the National Lottery behind the R232 million PowerBall jackpot in February 2019," said Ithuba spokesperson Charmaine Mabuza.

Ithuba has urged everyone in KZN who bought tickets in the draw to double-check theirs to see if they are the winner. There is also a second-tier winner who has won R933,000, one of the biggest tier two prizes from the SA Powerball ever.

“We congratulate our first big jackpot winner for the year, it is indeed encouraging to see people’s dreams come true. We cannot wait to welcome the latest winner into our millionaires circle,” said Mabuza.
